Planning Board Meeting - IN-PERSON ONLY!!!
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Planning Board of the Town of Ramapo will hold a meeting at Ramapo Town Hall, 237 Route 59, Suffern, NY on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at 7:30pm.
Planning Board members will attend in-person. Until further notice, applicants, their representatives, and interested members of the public must also attend the meeting in-person. Written comment on matters on the agenda for a public hearing may be submitted to the Planning Board Secretary by mail or email, but must be received no later than 4:00 PM on the date of the hearing. The Planning Board will open public hearings on the following application(s) at 7:30 pm, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, for the purpose of allowing the public to be heard on those matters, and the hearing may thereafter be closed or continued. Links to files containing the application and supporting documents are available on the Town website using the meeting agenda posted on the Town website. The application file is also available for review in the Building Department at Town Hall during normal business hours.
- Determination of potential environmental impacts pursuant to 6 NYCRR Part 617 State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), Site Plan and Special Use Permit Discussion with respect to an application of Abe Weinstein, 10 Nesher Court, Unit 202, Monsey, New York 10952 for approval of a site development plan entitled “Yeshiva Vien-65 Highview” proposing a phased school site plan. In Phase 1, the existing houses will be demolished (65 & 67 Highview) with installation of modulars being installed for additional classroom space for existing school at 61 College. In Phase 2, a new school building and parking lot are proposed. The property is 2.2061-acres and is located in a R-25 zone. The property in question is located at 61 College, 65 & 67 Highview Road on the south side of Highview Road, approximately 160 feet west of Highview Road, which is known and designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lots 56.06-1-17, 18 & 19. The Planning Board classified the proposed action as an Unlisted SEQRA Action on January 23, 2024, and a coordinated review was initiated on January 25, 2024. Please take notice that this Public Hearing is not a “SEQR Hearing” within the meaning of 6 NYCRR Part 617, although the Board will accept public comment at this Hearing from interested members of the public and involved/interested agencies.
- Application of Joel Mann, Brach and Mann Associates, 254 Nininger Road, Site 201, Monroe, New York 10950, for Final Site Plan approval of a site development plan entitled “14 Vincent Road” proposing to construct a new House of Worship on the 0.36-acre site. The existing single family dwelling will be demolished. The property in question is located at 14 Vincent Road, Spring Valley, New York on the east side of Vincent Road, approximately 113 feet north of Vincent Road, which is known and designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lots 50.17-1-54 and is located in an R-15-C Zone. On May 13, 2025, the Planning Board classified the proposed action as an Unlisted SEQRA Action, determined that preparation of an environmental impact statement was not required, and that a SEQRA negative declaration would be issued.
- Determination of potential environmental impacts pursuant to 6 NYCRR Part 617 State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), Site Plan and Special Use Permit Discussion with respect to an application of Green Mountain Development Corp, 129 Grandview Avenue, Monsey, NY 10952 for approval of a site development plan entitled “67 Eckerson Road” proposing a 15-unit Senior House Development on the 0.53-acre site. The existing single-family dwelling will be removed, and 29 parking spaces will be provided. The property in question is located at 67 West Eckerson Road on the north side of W Eckerson Road, approximately 375 feet east of Hempstead Road, which is known and designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lot 50.14-1-45 and is in the RSH zone. The Planning Board classified the proposed action as an Unlisted SEQRA Action on July 30, 2025, and a coordinated review was initiated on July 31, 2025. Please take notice that this Public Hearing is not a “SEQR Hearing” within the meaning of 6 NYCRR Part 617, although the Board will accept public comment at this Hearing from interested members of the public and involved/interested agencies.
