Planning Board Meeting - IN-PERSON ONLY!!!
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Planning Board of the Town of Ramapo will hold a meeting at Ramapo Town Hall, 237 Route 59, Suffern, NY on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at 7:30pm.
Planning Board members will attend in-person. Until further notice, applicants, their representatives, and interested members of the public must also attend the meeting in-person. Written comment on matters on the agenda for a public hearing may be submitted to the Planning Board Secretary by mail or email, but must be received no later than 4:00 PM on the date of the hearing. The Planning Board will open public hearings on the following application(s) at 7:30 pm, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, for the purpose of allowing the public to be heard on those matters, and the hearing may thereafter be closed or continued. Links to files containing the application and supporting documents are available on the Town website using the meeting agenda posted on the Town website. The application file is also available for review in the Building Department at Town Hall during normal business hours.
- Determination of potential environmental impacts pursuant to 6 NYCRR Part 617 State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) and Sketch Plat Approval with respect to an application of Lisa Wilkie, 10904 Gillette Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33617, for approval of a subdivision plan entitled “Ramapo Living Estates”, proposing to subdivide 3.058-acres into 7-lots and construct a new single-family home on each new lot with the existing single-family dwelling removed. The property in question is located at 37 College Road, Monsey, New York on the west side of College Road, approximately 262 feet north of Olympia Lane, which is known and designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lot 56.05-2-57 and is located in an R-25 Zone. The Planning Board classified the proposed action as a Type 1 SEQRA Action on May 28, 2024, and a coordinated review was initiated on June 7, 2024. Please take notice that this Public Hearing is not a “SEQR Hearing” within the meaning of 6 NYCRR Part 617, although the Board will accept public comment at this Hearing from interested members of the public and involved/interested agencies.
- Determination of potential environmental impacts pursuant to 6 NYCRR Part 617 State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) and sketch plat approval with respect to an application of Chateau Yitzhor LLC, 203 Bates Drive, Monsey, NY 10952 for approval of a subdivision plan entitled “180 Remsen Avenue”, proposing to subdivide the 0.68-acre site into two-lots and construct a two-family dwelling plus one accessory apartment on each new lot. The existing single-family dwelling will be removed. The property in question is located at 180 Remsen Avenue, Monsey, NY on the east side of Remsen Avenue, approximately 300 feet south of Hilda Lane, which is known and designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lot 56.10-3-3 and is located in an R-15A Zone. The Planning Board classified the proposed action as an Unlisted SEQRA Action on April 8, 2025, and a coordinated review was initiated on April 9, 2025. Please take notice that this Public Hearing is not a “SEQR Hearing” within the meaning of 6 NYCRR Part 617, although the Board will accept public comment at this Hearing from interested members of the public and involved/interested agencies.
