Planning Board Meeting - IN-PERSON ONLY!!!

Start: Tuesday, September 24, 2024, 7:30 PM

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Planning Board of the Town of Ramapo will hold a meeting at Ramapo Town Hall, 237 Route 59, Suffern, NY on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at 7:30pm.

Planning Board members will attend in-person. Until further notice, applicants, their representatives, and interested members of the public must also attend the meeting in-person.  Written comment on matters on the agenda for a public hearing may be submitted to the Planning Board Secretary by mail or email, but must be received no later than 4:00 PM on the date of the hearing.  The Planning Board will open public hearings on the following application(s) at 7:30 pm, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, for the purpose of allowing the public to be heard on those matters, and the hearing may thereafter be closed or continued. Links to files containing the application and supporting documents are available on the Town website using the meeting agenda posted on the Town website. The application file is also available for review in the Building Department at Town Hall during normal business hours.

  1. Determination of potential environmental impacts pursuant to 6 NYCRR Part 617 State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) and Sketch Plat with respect to an application of Gabriel and Passy Stern, 5 Cedar Lane, Monsey, New York 10952, for approval of a subdivision plan entitled “5 Cedar Lane”, proposing to subdivide the 0.398-acre lot into two lots with a two-family dwelling plus two-accessory apartments, semi-attached on each lot. The property in question is located at 5 Cedar Lane, Monsey, New York on the south side of Cedar Lane, approximately 364 feet west of Dover Terrace, which is known and designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lot 49.19-6-15 and is located in an R-15C Zone. The Planning Board classified the proposed action as an Unlisted SEQRA Action on July 30, 2024, and a coordinated review was initiated on August 13, 2024.  Please take notice that this Public Hearing is not a “SEQR Hearing” within the meaning of 6 NYCRR Part 617, although the Board will accept public comment at this Hearing from interested members of the public and involved/interested agencies.
  2. Application of Zev Landau, 9 Rose Garden Way, Unit 201, Monsey, NY 10952 for Sketch Plat and Final Subdivision Approval of a subdivision plan entitled “11 & 15 Johanna”, proposing a lot-line shift increasing the size of 11 Joanna Lane and decreasing the size of 15 Johanna Lane. The properties in question are located at 11 & 15 Johanna Lane on the south side of Johanna Lane, approximately 211 feet east of Roberts Road, is designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lots 56.15-1-23 & 24, and is located in an R-15 Zone.The applicant plans to build a single-family residence on 15 Johanna. On 11 Johanna the applicant plans to demolish the existing single-family residence and build a larger one family residence.  On May 28, 2024, the Planning Board classified the action as a Type 2 SEQRA Action, requiring no further Environmental Review.

 

  1. Determination of potential environmental impacts pursuant to 6 NYCRR Part 617 State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) and Sketch Plat, with respect to an application of Mishkenos Avraham Chaim LLC, 212 Hewes Street, Brookly, NY 11211, for approval of a subdivision plan entitled “13 Cedar Lane”, proposing to subdivide the 0.415-acre site into two lots, with a two-family dwelling plus two accessory apartments, semi-attached on each lot. The property is located at 13 Cedar Lane, Monsey, NY on the south side of Cedar Lane approximately 665 feet West of Blauvelt Road, is designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lot 49.19-6-11, and is located in a R-15C Zone. The Planning Board classified the proposed action as an Unlisted SEQRA Action on July 30, 2024, and a coordinated review was initiated on August 14, 2024. â€¯Please take notice that this Public Hearing is not a “SEQR Hearing” within the meaning of 6 NYCRR Part 617, although the Board will accept public comment at this Hearing from interested members of the public and involved/interested agencies.
