NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: The Town Board of the Town of Ramapo will hold a Town Board Meeting/Public Hearing – “Proposed Local Law Amending the Town Code Section 149-5 Regarding Applicability: Areas of Special Hazard”
Time: May 27, 2020 07:00 PM Eastern Time (US and Canada)
Due to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Emergency and pursuant to Governor Cuomo’s Executive Orders, the Meeting will be held via ZOOM Conferencing as set forth below with no in person attendance.
The Town Board Agenda will be posted 24 hours prior to the meeting. If you wish to speak at Public Participation, please send your name, address, and email address to osherovitzs@ramapo.org no later than thirty (30) minutes prior to the Town Board meeting.
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, by the Town Board of the Town of Ramapo that a previously scheduled in-person Public Hearing to be held on at 7:05P.M. (Prevailing Time) at the Ramapo Town Hall, 237 Route 59, Suffern, New York, 10901, on the 27th day of May 2020 to consider the amendment of a Local Law entitled A Local Law Amending Town Code Chapter 149-5 will be held only per ZOOM since the Executive Orders of the Governor have not been revised to date to permit in person Public Hearings. The Notice of the Public Hearing previously published expressly noted the potential for a change in format and directed the Public to view the Town’s Website for further information about such change of the Public Hearing format.

The Town of Ramapo Town Board will at said time and place hear all persons lawfully entitled to be heard regarding the Proposed Local Law to amend Chapter 149-5 of the Town Code to make changes to the Map for Flood Hazards as well as to provide for future such changes to be done by Town Board Resolution alternatively. A copy of the proposed Local Law is available for inspection and copying during normal business hours at the Town of Ramapo Office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Ramapo. Any Person or by authorized agent or representative must dial or log in to the teleconference/web streaming as per the instructions below.
The Public Hearing will be recorded, and a transcription made available to the public at a later date. Members of the public may also call in to listen to the Meeting. If you wish to speak at the Public Hearing, send your name, address and email address to osherovitzs@ramapo.org no later than thirty (30) minutes prior to the start of the Public Hearing. Any written comments can also be made by e-mail or postal delivery provided any such comments are received by the Town Clerk on or before 5:00PM on the day of the Public Hearing.
