Planning Board Meeting November 14, 2023 at 8:00 pm - IN-PERSON ONLY!!!

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Planning Board of the Town of Ramapo will hold a meeting at Ramapo Town Hall, 237 Route 59, Suffern, NY on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 8:00pm.

Planning Board members will attend in-person. Until further notice, applicants, their representatives, and interested members of the public must also attend the meeting in-person.  Written comment on matters on the agenda for a public hearing may be submitted to the Planning Board Secretary by mail or email, but must be received no later than 4:00 PM on the date of the hearing.  The Planning Board will open public hearings on the following application(s) at 8:00 pm, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, for the purpose of allowing the public to be heard on those matters, and the hearing may thereafter be closed or continued. Links to files containing the application and supporting documents are available on the Town website using the meeting agenda posted on the Town website. The application file is also available for review in the Building Department at Town Hall during normal business hours.

  1. Application of Abe Weinstein, 10 Nesher Court, Unit 202, Monsey, NY 10952 for Final Site Plan and Special Permit approval of a site development plan entitled “Talmud Torah Darkei Avos”, proposing an addition to an existing school at 235 N. Pascack Road. Existing residences at 239 & 241 N Pascack will be demolished. The site is 2.108-acres. The property is located at 235, 239 & 241 N. Pascack Road, Spring Valley, NY on the West side of Pascack Road, approximately 0 feet West of Pauline Court, is designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lots 50.19-1-2, 19 & 20, and is located in an R-15 Zone.On May 30, 2023, the Planning Board classified the proposed action as an Unlisted SEQRA Action, determined that preparation of an environmental impact statement was not required, and that a SEQRA negative declaration would be issued.
  1. Determination of potential environmental impacts pursuant to 6 NYCRR Part 617 State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) and Final Site Plan Discussion, with respect to an application of Huerto Del Eden 3, Inc. 9 Rollingwood Drive, New City, NY 10956, of a site development plan entitled “Eden Fresh Market”, proposing a Final Amended Site Plan of the 2.29-acre lot to convert the former CVS space to a retail grocery, and add an exterior walk-in cooler in the drive-up aisle for the former pick-up window. The property is located at 274 Old Nyack Turnpike, Spring Valley, NY on the north side of Nyack Turnpike, approximately 0 feet west of Van Orden Avenue, is designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lots 57.18-2-92, and is located in a PO Zone. Please take notice that this Public Hearing is not a “SEQR Hearing” within the meaning of 6 NYCRR Part 617, although the Board will accept public comment at this Hearing from interested members of the public and involved/interested agencies
