Planning Board Meeting February 13, 2024 at 8:00 pm - IN-PERSON ONLY!!! - CANCELLED AND ADJOURED TO 2/27/2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Planning Board of the Town of Ramapo will hold a meeting at Ramapo Town Hall, 237 Route 59, Suffern, NY on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 8:00pm.

Planning Board members will attend in-person. Until further notice, applicants, their representatives, and interested members of the public must also attend the meeting in-person.  Written comment on matters on the agenda for a public hearing may be submitted to the Planning Board Secretary by mail or email, but must be received no later than 4:00 PM on the date of the hearing.  The Planning Board will open public hearings on the following application(s) at 8:00 pm, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, for the purpose of allowing the public to be heard on those matters, and the hearing may thereafter be closed or continued. Links to files containing the application and supporting documents are available on the Town website using the meeting agenda posted on the Town website. The application file is also available for review in the Building Department at Town Hall during normal business hours.

 

  1. Determination of potential environmental impacts pursuant to 6 NYCRR Part 617 State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), Site Plan and Special Use Permit Discussion, with respect to an application of Cong Bnos Zion of Bobov, Monsey, 3 Asher Drive, Spring Valley, NY 10977 of a Site Development plan entitled “Congregation Bnos Zion of Bobov Monsey”, proposing a new school on the 2.217-acre site. The existing dwellings on each lot will be demolished. The property is located at 54, 58 and 62 College Road, Monsey, NY on the east side of College Road approximately 0 feet south of Highview Road, is designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lots 56.06-1-20, 21 & 39, and is located in an R-25 Zone. The Planning Board classified the proposed action as an Unlisted SEQRA Action on December 19, 2023, and a coordinated review was initiated on December 22, 2023. Please take notice that this Public Hearing is not a “SEQR Hearing” within the meaning of 6 NYCRR Part 617, although the Board will accept public comment at this Hearing from interested members of the public and involved/interested agencies.
  1. Application of Nechuma Terebelo, 46 College Road, Monsey, NY 10952, for Final Subdivision approval of a subdivision plan entitled “15 Orchard Street”, consisting of a two-lot subdivision with a single-family dwelling on each lot. The existing residence will be demolished. The property in question are located at 15 Orchard Street, Spring Valley NY 10977 on the North side of Orchard Street, approximately 460 feet west of North Main Street, comprise in the aggregate 0.46 acres, are designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lot 50.14-4-43, and are located in an R-15 Zone. On August 8, 2023, the Planning Board classified the proposed action as an Unlisted SEQRA Action, determined that preparation of an environmental impact statement was not required, and that a SEQRA negative declaration would be issued.
  1. Application of 489 W Central LLC, 35 West Street 202, Spring Valley, NY 10977, for Amended Final Subdivision approval of a subdivision plan entitled “489 West Central Ave”, proposing the removal of map note #32 of the previously approved subdivision. The property is located at 489 W Central on the west side of West Central Ave., approximately 0 feet across from Herrick Ave., is designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lot 57.09-2-4, and is located in an R-15C Zone.
