Notice of Public Hearing

Town of Ramapo

 

Town of Ramapo will hold a public hearing September 27th 2023 at 7:00 PM for the purpose of hearing public comments on the Town of Ramapo community development needs, and to discuss the closeout of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for Project Number 3416CVPF49-22.

 

The CDBG program is administered by the RocklandCounty Office of Community Development and had made available to eligible local governments approximately $2,250,000 for the 2020 program year for housing, economic development, public facilities, public infrastructure, andplanning activities, with the principal purpose of benefiting low/moderate income persons. The Town of Ramapo submitted CDBG applications for the following projects (collectively known as Project 3416CVPF49-22):

 

  1. Welder Park Playground
  2. Community Outreach Center – Senior Trans. Van
  3. Tomeche Shabbos – Food Distribution
  4. Good Samaritan Hospital Birthing Center

 

The Town of Ramapo has concluded Project 3416CVPF49-22 and wishes to submit a request for closeout. The hearing is being conducted in compliance with the requirements of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, asamended.

 

The Town of Ramapo Council Room isaccessible to persons with disabilities. Written comments may also be submitted to Ramapo Town Clerk Sharon Osherovitz, 237 Route 59, Suffern, NY 10901 until March 15, 2023.
