Planning Board Meeting September 9, 2025 at 7:30 pm - IN-PERSON ONLY!!!
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Planning Board of the Town of Ramapo will hold a meeting at Ramapo Town Hall, 237 Route 59, Suffern, NY on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 7:30pm.
Planning Board members will attend in-person. Until further notice, applicants, their representatives, and interested members of the public must also attend the meeting in-person. Written comment on matters on the agenda for a public hearing may be submitted to the Planning Board Secretary by mail or email, but must be received no later than 4:00 PM on the date of the hearing. The Planning Board will open public hearings on the following application(s) at 7:30 pm, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, for the purpose of allowing the public to be heard on those matters, and the hearing may thereafter be closed or continued. Links to files containing the application and supporting documents are available on the Town website using the meeting agenda posted on the Town website. The application file is also available for review in the Building Department at Town Hall during normal business hours.
- Determination of potential environmental impacts pursuant to 6 NYCRR Part 617 State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) and Final Amended Site Plan Approval respect to an application of Trophy 1551 LLC, 16 Dike Drive, Monsey, NY 10952 for approval of a site development plan entitled “1551 Route 202” proposing conversion of existing radio station to medical and dental offices including 3 additional parking spaces (28 total). The property is 12.8892-acres and is located in a CC zone. The property in question is located at 1551 Route 202, Pomona, New York on the south side of Route 202, approximately 1,540 feet east of Camp Hill Road, which is known and designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lot 33.05-2-9. The Planning Board classified the proposed action as an Unlisted SEQRA Action on July 30, 2025, and a coordinated review was initiated on July 31, 2025. Please take notice that this Public Hearing is not a “SEQR Hearing” within the meaning of 6 NYCRR Part 617, although the Board will accept public comment at this Hearing from interested members of the public and involved/interested agencies.
- Application of Nachman Baumwolspiner, 12 Poplar Road, Garnerville, New York 10923, for Final Site Plan and Special Use Permit approval of a site development plan entitled “66 Highview Road” proposing to convert the existing House of Worship to a School on the 0.60-acre site. The property in question is located at 66 Highview Road, Monsey, New York on the north side of Highview Road, approximately 200 feet west of College Road, which is known and designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lots 56.06-1-14 and is located in an R-25 Zone. On June 24, 2025, the Planning Board classified the proposed action as an Unlisted SEQRA Action, determined that preparation of an environmental impact statement was not required, and that a SEQRA negative declaration would be issued.
- Application of 8 Merrick LLC, 101 Route 306, Monsey, New York 10952, for Final Subdivision approval of a subdivision plan entitled “8 Merrick Lane” proposing to subdivide the 0.521-acre lot into two-lots with a new single-family residence on each new lot. The existing single-family dwelling and driveway will be demolished. The property in question is located at 8 Merrick Lane, Spring Valley, New York on the north side of Merrick Lane, approximately 125 feet East of Northbrook Road, which is known and designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lots 50.19-3-62 and is located in an R-15 Zone. On January 14, 2025, the Planning Board classified the proposed action as an Unlisted SEQRA Action, determined that preparation of an environmental impact statement was not required, and that a SEQRA negative declaration would be issued.
