Planning Board Meeting March 14, 2023 at 8:00 pm - IN-PERSON ONLY!!!

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Planning Board of the Town of Ramapo will hold a meeting at Ramapo Town Hall, 237 Route 59, Suffern, NY on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 8:00pm.


Planning Board members will attend in-person. Until further notice, applicants, their representatives, and interested members of the public must also attend the meeting in-person. Written comment on matters on the agenda for a public hearing may be submitted to the Planning Board Secretary by mail or email, but must be received no later than 4:00 PM on the date of the hearing. The Planning Board will open public hearings on the following application(s) at 8:00 pm, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, for the purpose of allowing the public to be heard on those matters, and the hearing may thereafter be closed or continued. Links to files containing the application and supporting documents are available on the Town website using the meeting agenda posted on the Town website. The application file is also available for review in the Building Department at Town Hall during normal business hours.


1. Determination of potential environmental impacts pursuant to 6 NYCRR Part 617 State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), Final Site Plan and Special Permit with respect to an application of Yeshiva Shaarei Arazim, 36 Sky Meadow Road, Suffern, NY 10901, for approval of a Site Development Plan entitled “Yeshiva Shaarei Arazim (36 Sky Meadow Road)”, which proposes a renovation of two existing buildings for use as a school on the 16.699-acre site. The property in question is located at 34, 36, 36A, 36B & 36C Sky Meadow Road, Suffern, NY 10901 on the West side of Sky Meadow Road approximately 750 feet West of Samego Court, is designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lots 40.08-1-1,13, 16,17 &18, and is located in a RR-80 Zone. The Planning Board classified the proposed action as an Unlisted SEQRA Action on February 22, 2022, and a coordinated review was initiated on April 18, 2022 and February 8, 2023. Please take notice that this Public Hearing is not a “SEQR Hearing” within the meaning of 6 NYCRR Part 617, although the Board will accept public comment at this Hearing from interested members of the public and involved/interested agencies.


2. Determination of potential environmental impacts pursuant to 6 NYCRR Part 617 State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) and Site Plan Discussion with respect to an application of 22-24 Decatur LLC, 86 East Route 59, Spring Valley, NY 10977 for approval of a site development plan entitled “22 Decatur Avenue”, proposing a 24-unit Development on 1.02-acres, existing dwellings to be removed. The property in question is located at 22 Decatur Avenue, Spring Valley, New York on the East side of Decatur Avenue, approximately 88 feet North of West Central Avenue, is designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lot 57.09-1-21, and is located in a R-15C Zone. The Planning Board classified the proposed action as an Unlisted SEQRA Action on January 10, 2023, and a coordinated review was initiated on January 17, 2023. Please take notice that this Public Hearing is not a “SEQR Hearing” within the meaning of 6 NYCRR Part 617, although the Board will accept public comment at this Hearing from interested members of the public and involved/interested agencies.
