Planning Board Meeting July 8, 2025 at 7:30 pm - IN-PERSON ONLY!!!
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Planning Board of the Town of Ramapo will hold a meeting at Ramapo Town Hall, 237 Route 59, Suffern, NY on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at 7:30pm.
Planning Board members will attend in-person. Until further notice, applicants, their representatives, and interested members of the public must also attend the meeting in-person. Written comment on matters on the agenda for a public hearing may be submitted to the Planning Board Secretary by mail or email, but must be received no later than 4:00 PM on the date of the hearing. The Planning Board will open public hearings on the following application(s) at 7:30 pm, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, for the purpose of allowing the public to be heard on those matters, and the hearing may thereafter be closed or continued. Links to files containing the application and supporting documents are available on the Town website using the meeting agenda posted on the Town website. The application file is also available for review in the Building Department at Town Hall during normal business hours.
- Determination of potential environmental impacts pursuant to 6 NYCRR Part 617 State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), Site Plan & Special Use Permit Discussion with respect to an application of Yechiel Sprei, 3 Asher Drive, Spring Valley, NY 10977, for approval of a site development plan entitled “5 Ravenna Drive” for a project entitled “Cong Olam Hatorah”, proposing a school for 160 students and dormitory for 25 of the students on the 1.433 lot. The applicant proposes 19 parking spaces.The existing residence, garage and pool will be removed. The property in question is located at 5 Ravenna Drive, Pomona on the east side of Ravenna Drive, approximately 300 feet South of Conklin Road, which is known and designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lot 33.20-1-19 and is located in an R-35 Zone. The Planning Board classified the proposed action as an Unlisted SEQRA Action on May 22, 2025, and a coordinated review was initiated on May 23, 2025. Please take notice that this Public Hearing is not a “SEQR Hearing” within the meaning of 6 NYCRR Part 617, although the Board will accept public comment at this Hearing from interested members of the public and involved/interested agencies.
- Application of Midwest 32 LLC, PO Box 1308, Monsey, NY 10952, for Final Subdivision approval of a subdivision plan entitled “12 Buena Vista Avenue”, proposing to subdivide the 0.45-acre parcel with the existing single-family dwelling remaining on lot 1 and a new single-family dwelling proposed on lot 2. The existing single-family dwelling will be removed. The property in question is located at 12 Buena Vista Road, Suffern on the east side of Buena Vista Avenue, approximately 250 feet South of Eckerson Road, which is known and designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lot 50.14-2-71 and is located in an R-15 Zone. On November 12, 2024, the Planning Board classified the proposed action as an Unlisted SEQRA Action, determined that preparation of an environmental impact statement was not required, and that a SEQRA negative declaration would be issued.
- Determination of potential environmental impacts pursuant to 6 NYCRR Part 617 State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), Site Plan Discussion with respect to an application of Congregation Kehilas Belz Monsey, 21 Mountain Avenue, Monsey, NY 10952, for approval of a site development plan entitled “1 Harvest Court” proposing conversion of the existing single-family dwelling to a local House of Worship on the 0.28-acre lot. The applicant proposes 11 parking spaces. The property in question is located at 1 Harvest Court, Monsey on the north side of Harvest Court, approximately 0 feet East of Saddle River Road, which is known and designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lot 56.07-2-78 and is located in an R-15A Zone. The Planning Board classified the proposed action as an Unlisted SEQRA Action on May 27, 2025, and a coordinated review was initiated on May 28, 2025. Please take notice that this Public Hearing is not a “SEQR Hearing” within the meaning of 6 NYCRR Part 617, although the Board will accept public comment at this Hearing from interested members of the public and involved/interested agencies.
