Planning Board Meeting August 26, 2025 at 7:30 pm - IN-PERSON ONLY!!!
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Planning Board of the Town of Ramapo will hold a meeting at Ramapo Town Hall, 237 Route 59, Suffern, NY on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at 7:30pm.
Planning Board members will attend in-person. Until further notice, applicants, their representatives, and interested members of the public must also attend the meeting in-person. Written comment on matters on the agenda for a public hearing may be submitted to the Planning Board Secretary by mail or email, but must be received no later than 4:00 PM on the date of the hearing. The Planning Board will open public hearings on the following application(s) at 7:30 pm, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, for the purpose of allowing the public to be heard on those matters, and the hearing may thereafter be closed or continued. Links to files containing the application and supporting documents are available on the Town website using the meeting agenda posted on the Town website. The application file is also available for review in the Building Department at Town Hall during normal business hours.
- Determination of potential environmental impacts pursuant to 6 NYCRR Part 617 State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) Site Plan, Amended Site Plan and Special Use Permit Discussion with respect to an application of Bnei Yakov Yosef of Monsey, 23 Union Road, Spring Valley, New York, 10977 for approval of a site development plan entitled “201 and 203-205 West Maple Avenue” proposing a 12,358sf pre-fabricated building for use as a school at 201 West Maple and modifications to ingress/egress between the site and 203-205 West Maple Avenue. An additional 75 parking spaces will be provided. The property is 1.05 acres (201 W Maple) and 1.027-acres (203-205 W Maple) and is located in a R-40 zone. The property in question is located at 201, 203 & 205 West Maple Avenue on the west side of West Maple Avenue, approximately 140 feet South of Thomas Court, which is known and designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lots 49.10-1-22, 23 & 24 and is located in an R-15 Zone. The Planning Board classified the proposed action as an Unlisted SEQRA Action on May 27, 2025, and a coordinated review was initiated on May 29, 2025. Please take notice that this Public Hearing is not a “SEQR Hearing” within the meaning of 6 NYCRR Part 617, although the Board will accept public comment at this Hearing from interested members of the public and involved/interested agencies.
- Determination of potential environmental impacts pursuant to 6 NYCRR Part 617 State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) and Site Plan and Special Use Permit discussion with respect to an application of Karina & David, LLC, 1663 Route 202, Pomona, NY 10970 for approval of a site development plan entitled “La Parilla Huerto Catering” proposing a catering facility consisting of a two-story, 6,958sf addition to the existing building. 95 parking spaces will be provided on the 1.31-acre lot. The property in question is located at 1663 Route 202, Pomona, New York 10970 on the south side of Route 202, approximately 560 feet east of Camp Hill Road which is known and designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lot 33.06-1-5 and is located in a CS Zone. The Planning Board classified the proposed action as an Unlisted SEQRA Action on April 8, 2025, and a coordinated review was initiated on April 9, 2025. Please take notice that this Public Hearing is not a “SEQR Hearing” within the meaning of 6 NYCRR Part 617, although the Board will accept public comment at this Hearing from interested members of the public and involved/interested agencies.
- Determination of potential environmental impacts pursuant to 6 NYCRR Part 617 State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), Sketch Plat approval and Site Plan Discussion with respect to an application of NY USA Development LLC, 15 Perlman Drive #105, Spring Valley, NY 10977 for approval of a subdivision plan entitled “174-180 Saddle River Road” proposing to subdivide the 2.021-acre lot into eight-lots with a new two-family residence with one-accessory apartment on each new lot. The existing single-family dwelling will be demolished. The property in question is located at 174, 176, 178 & 180 Saddle River Road on the west side of Saddle River Road, approximately 0 feet West of Old Nyack Turnpike, which is known and designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lots 56.19-4-1, 2, 3 & 4 and is located in an R-15A Zone. The Planning Board classified the proposed action as an Unlisted SEQRA Action on June 10, 2025, and a coordinated review was initiated on June 11, 2025. Please take notice that this Public Hearing is not a “SEQR Hearing” within the meaning of 6 NYCRR Part 617, although the Board will accept public comment at this Hearing from interested members of the public and involved/interested agencies.
