NOTICE OF EXTENDED PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD

FOR WRITTEN COMMENT ON

DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT

WATCHTOWER AUDIO/VISUAL PRODUCTION CENTER

 

Name of Action:        The Watchtower Audio/Video Production Center (the “Action”).

Location:                    Town of Ramapo, Rockland County, NY (242 acres)

                                    Town of Tuxedo, Orange County, NY (7 acres)

                                    Property generally adjacent to Sterling Mine Road

Project Sponsor:       Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York, Inc. (Watchtower)

Lead Agency:            Town Board of the Town of Ramapo

SEQR Status:            Type 1

 

The DEIS on the above SEQRA Action was filed and circulated on May 10, 2021 to interested/involved agencies and others who have requested it. The DEIS is available for review at www.ramapo.org/watchtower.

 

NOTICE OF EXTENDED SEQRA PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD:

 

The Notice of Completion on the Watchtower DEIS gave notice that the Town Board, as Lead Agency, would  receive written public comment until June 21, 2021.

 

The Town Board hereby gives notice that it has extended the Public Comment Period to Wednesday, July 7, 2021.

 

Comments may be submitted to the Town Clerk by regular mail/fax/email no later than 4:00 PM on that date, using the contact information below. In particular, involved agencies should provide comments reflecting their concerns, jurisdictions and any necessary environmental analysis required for the EIS to be adequate to support their SEQRA findings.
