Planning Board Meeting - IN-PERSON ONLY!!!
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Planning Board of the Town of Ramapo will hold a meeting at Ramapo Town Hall, 237 Route 59, Suffern, NY on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at 7:30pm.
Planning Board members will attend in-person. Until further notice, applicants, their representatives, and interested members of the public must also attend the meeting in-person. Written comment on matters on the agenda for a public hearing may be submitted to the Planning Board Secretary by mail or email, but must be received no later than 4:00 PM on the date of the hearing. The Planning Board will open public hearings on the following application(s) at 7:30 pm, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, for the purpose of allowing the public to be heard on those matters, and the hearing may thereafter be closed or continued. Links to files containing the application and supporting documents are available on the Town website using the meeting agenda posted on the Town website. The application file is also available for review in the Building Department at Town Hall during normal business hours.
- Application of Remsen Shul Inc./Moshe Eichler, 86 E. Route 59, Spring Valley, New York, 10977, for Final Subdivision approval of a subdivision plan entitled “221 Remsen Avenue”, proposing to subdivision the 0.58-acre lot into two lots with a two-family dwelling on lot one and a two-family dwelling plus one accessory apartment on lot two. Each lot will have five parking spaces. The existing single-family dwelling will be demolished. The property is located at 221 Remsen Monsey, Monsey, NY on the west side of Remsen Avenue approximately 350 feet south of Dolson Road, is designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lots 56.06-3-44, and is located in a R-15A Zone. On April 9, 2024, the Planning Board classified the proposed action as an Unlisted SEQRA Action, determined that preparation of an environmental impact statement was not required, and that a SEQRA negative declaration would be issued.
- Application of Sara Rosenbaum, 1209 Corner Street, Spring Valley, NY 10977, for Final Site Plan approval of a site development plan entitled “204 Union Road”, proposing the construction of a local house of worship on a lot that previously housed an single-family residence that was destroyed in a fire on the 0.45-acre site. The property is located at 204 Union Road, Spring Valley, NY on the east side of Union Road approximately 0 feet north of Gilda Court, is designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lots 50.09-3-14, and is located in a R-15 Zone. On May 16, 2023, the Planning Board classified the proposed action as an Unlisted SEQRA Action, determined that preparation of an environmental impact statement was not required, and that a SEQRA negative declaration would be issued.
- Determination of potential environmental impacts pursuant to 6 NYCRR Part 617 State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), Sketch Plat and Final Subdivision Approval with respect to an application of Devora Lichtenstein, 59 Olympia Lane, Monsey, NY 10952, for approval of a subdivision plan entitled “59 Olympia Lane”, consisting of a lot line change that will move the lot line making 286 Spook Rock Road larger by 13,769sf and 59 Olympia Lane smaller by13,769sf. The properties in question are located at 59 Olympia Lane and 286 Spook Rock Road, Monsey, New York, 10952 on the North side of Olympia Lane, approximately 220 feet north of Golar Drive, comprise in the aggregate 3.057 acres, are designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lots 56.05-1-11 & 56.05-3-8, and are located in an R-25 Zone. Please take notice that this Public Hearing is not a “SEQR Hearing” within the meaning of 6 NYCRR Part 617, although the Board will accept public comment at this Hearing from interested members of the public and involved/interested agencies.
- Determination of potential environmental impacts pursuant to 6 NYCRR Part 617 State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) and Final Site Plan, with respect to an application of 12 Mielle LLC, 16 Fred Eller Drive, Monsey, NY 10952, for approval of a site development plan entitled “12 Miele Road”, proposing an additional curb cut. The property is located at 12 Miele Road, Monsey, NY on the north side of Miele Road approximately 80 feet west of Summit Avenue, is designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lot 56.15-3-24, and is located in a R-15A Zone. Please take notice that this Public Hearing is not a “SEQR Hearing” within the meaning of 6 NYCRR Part 617, although the Board will accept public comment at this Hearing from interested members of the public and involved/interested agencies.
- Application of Pinchus Schlesinger, 144 Remsen Avenue, Monsey, New York, 10952, for Final Site Plan approval of a site development plan entitled “13 Garden Terrace”, proposing conversion of existing semi-attached single-family dwelling to a house of worship with ritual bath located in the basement and the Rabbi’s residence to occupy the second and third floors. The property in question is located at 13 Garden Terrace, Monsey, NY on the West side of Garden Terrace, approximately 270 feet South of Viola Road, which is known and designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lot 49.12-2-52.11-7102 and is located in an MR-8 Zone. On May 28, 2024, the Planning Board classified the proposed action as a Type 2 SEQRA Action, requiring no further environmental review.
