News Release 10/4 - Falsely Reporting Bomb ThreatTown of Ramapo Police Department NEWS RELEASE No. 07- 134 Issuance Date: October 4, 2007 Subject: Falsely Reporting- Bomb Threat Issuing Authority: Det. Lt. Weidel A fifteen-year-old Hillcrest girl was charged today with juvenile delinquency. On 10/4/07 at 7:42am she reported a bomb in the building of Ramapo High School. The youth charged is a student at the school. The call was made from a cell phone which was traced back to the owner. An investigation is underway to determine the reason that she made the threat. Had she been an adult she would have been charged with one count of Falsely Reporting an Incident in the first degree as a D-Felony. The Ramapo Police Department, Hillcrest Fire Department, Spring Hill Ambulance, Rockland Paramedics, Rockland County Sheriff's Department Communications Division and Bomb Squad responded to this incident.
