(845) 357-6466 Our award-winning, 150-acre Spook Rock Golf Course is located at 233 Spook Rock Road in the Village of Montebello. Constructed and first opened in 1969, it sits on the former site of Kane's Open, the first boy scout camp in the United States. Spook Rock provides a challenge to golfers of all levels. Whether you're a scratch golfer, or a newcomer to the game, Spook Rock's fully stocked and staffed pro shop, lighted driving range, practice greens, sand bunker, full service snack bar, and of course, our exquisitely maintained, par 72 course, will keep you coming back again and again.

Tournaments

The Town of Ramapo Championships will be held in the month of August. Senior and Junior Championships are scheduled for August 16, 2007, and Men's and Women's Championships are scheduled for August 18 & 19, 2007.
These tournaments are open to Town residents with a current USGA handicap only.

Saturday - Sunday & Holidays
There are two methods of reserving starting time for Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays. They are as follows:

1. Monday Night Drawing (ID Cardholders Only)
Drawings will be held each Monday evening for starting times the following Saturday, Sunday or Holiday. The drawing for Saturday will be at 7 PM. Immediately following Friday's drawing, Saturday's times will be drawn followed by Sunday's and then any applicable Holidays.

All entries for the Monday evening drawing must be completed and submitted to the Cashier's booth only. For each week's drawing, completed entries will be accepted beginning at 7 AM that preceding Friday and up to 6:30 PM that Monday evening. NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER 6:30 PM ON THE EVENING OF THE DRAWING.

A completed entry consists of a reservation card with the names of all players in the group. The reservation card must have all prepaid greens fee receipts and reservation fee receipts with the player names on the back stapled to the reservation card.

In addition, the reservation card must have preference of tee off choices indicated. The first choice is indicated by #1, second choice by #2, etc. Unacceptable times must have an X drawn in the appropriate area.

At the appropriate time, all cards will be placed in a large box and the cards will be thoroughly mixed. The cards will be drawn one-at-a-time and the entry will be entered on the reservation sheet in the range of time requested. If the range time is not available, the entire entry will be set aside and a credit will be issued to all players.

Partial groups will be placed with other partial groups within the hourly time slot selected and only then can a partial group begin to fill another vacant starting time slot with that hour's reservable time.

The following will be in effect for the actual selection of starting times.

a. An initial drawing of groups consisting of all ID players will be held first.
b. A second drawing of groups including Non-ID players will be held immediately thereafter.

Once an entry has been assigned a tee off time, there will be no substitutes permitted. Cancellations for all tee times must be made no later than 24 hours prior to the tee off time. Any open slots as a result of cancellation will be filled by the staff at the golf course.

2. All Other Golfers
Remaining starting times and partial starting times will go on sale to all other golfers on Tuesday morning at 7 AM on a first-come, first-served basis either in person or by phone. The reservation number is 357-6466.

Other Information

Instruction
Tony Musto (845-357-7735) representing the PGA and Joyce Fried LPGA (845-548-1244) Pro and staff are available for individual and group lessons during the entire season.

Driving Range
The lighted driving range will be open to the public 7 days
a week. Hours of operation will vary with the seasons and a driving range schedule will be available at the pro shop. A supply of clubs is available for use.

Credit/Refund Policy
NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED. Consideration concerning credits are as follows: There will be no credits issued, if on the day of play, group arrives at the golf course with less that the prepaid reserved group. In the event of rain during the round, any player who has already started play will not receive a credit unless the course is closed. In the event of rain, a delay in starting time of more than 30 minutes, or a lack of sufficient gasoline cars, a player my elect not to play and shall receive credit for greens fees and reservation fees.
